Scratchers Info
“Scratchers” are the Oklahoma Lottery’s version of instant gratification in that players do not have to wait for a drawing to see what, if anything, they have won.
Scratchers come in a variety of sizes, shapes, themes, methods of play, prices and with a variety of prizes.
All work by the player using a coin or other object to scratch off the coating which conceals the game board. Some games require you to match three like amounts or symbols to win, while others require you to line up three symbols in a row, column, or diagonal while others require your numbers match the winning numbers printed on the Scratcher to win.
The odds, rules and instructions on playing the individual Scratcher games are printed on the back of the Scratcher itself.
The current price range for Scratchers is from $1 to $5 per-Scratcher and the prizes range from $1 (or a free Scratcher) to $25,000. The odds of any single Scratcher winning something for the player range between 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 depending upon the Scratcher game being played.
A variety of Scratchers are in play at any given time providing players options on both cost and possible prizes. Seasonal Scratchers are also available at certain times of the year. Special promotions are offered from time to time such as “Trucks and Bucks” which provides the player the opportunity to win a new pickup truck.
