The above comparisons between the most and least frequently drawn numbers for ball 1 and ball three are attention getting aren’t they?

The most frequently drawn first ball is the number 7, drawn 115 times and the least frequently drawn first ball is the number 1, drawn only 81 times for a difference of 34.

The most frequently drawn third ball is the number 9, drawn 110 times and the least frequently drawn third ball is the number 3, drawn only 80 times for a difference of 30.

While ball 2 has a disparity of 21 draws between the most and least frequently drawn numbers that disparity is not as radical as the disparity seen with ball 1 and ball 3 and the numbers tend to “flow” smoothly between the number of occurrences.

The most common “sum” of the three numbers drawn during the first 1,000 Pick 3 draws is 15 which occurred 100 times, or in 10 percent of the draws. The next most common sum is 11 which occurred 85 times, or in 8.5 percent of the draws. The least frequently occurring sum of the three balls is 26, occurring only once followed by sums of 1 and 27, each occurring twice.

Clearly the vast majority of winning numbers in the first 1,000 drawings of the Oklahoma Pick 3 lottery were comprised of non-duplicate numbers with even numbers and higher value numbers favored slightly and with the most frequent sum of the three numbers drawn being 15, followed by 11.

Does the first 1,000 draws of Pick 3 provide a clue as to the next 1,000 draws?

Math experts would tell us it does not and that every draw is an entity unto itself with each number having an equal chance of coming up.

Then there’s that little matter of reality as pointed out in the numbers above.

Reality which indicates that not all numbers when printed on the sides of lottery balls are drawn equally…
